Final Lombard Lightweight Regional Championship and semifinal to the Italian title
The first two meetings of the evening were of chessboxing light, a version and a regulation invented in Italy, with the FISP showing itself as a world leader in this field of regulatory innovation as well. And one of the two meetings also saw the application of the regulatory article relating to the playoff round which was included in the regulation just about a year ago , after having tested this regulation, for the first time, on the occasion of the International Chessboxing Show .
The match that went to the play-off round was the first played, that of the lightweights, in which the chess master Giuseppe Andreoni was defeated by Luca Andreoletti in a match that ended in a draw, with Andreoni prevailing in chess and Andreoletti in boxing. The draw for the playoff round indicated another resumption of boxing rather than chess, to the satisfaction of Andreoletti and his coach Riccardo Pintaudi. |
