The match, which some spectators found to be the most beautiful of the evening, was the one between Christian Balsamo and Riccardo Mura : in a match that ended in the ninth and last round, the two did not spare each other a great battle in boxing, often putting in difficulty the judges in finding a winner of the second half (this is demonstrated by the scores that see shots assigned in a draw or with a non-unanimous opinion of the judges) and offered in chess a game full of twists in which Balsamo was missing on more than one occasion the mate's move and Mura resisted attacks on his king and won at the end when his opponent's time ran out. On the face of Fernando Frattesi, coach of Christian Balsamo, one could read the bitterness for having been one step away from taking the champion's belt and seeing it escape like that; while there was joy on the face of Mario Rachiele , master of Kick Boxing Tortona, who saw one of his students win the belt. |
