International Chessboxing Grand Prix in Cheboksary was eventful 🥊♟

The first fight was won by Stanislav Korovkin from Donetsk. He managed to beat his opponent from Turkey, Regayp Nasak, in a chess game.

The second fight was significant for Chuvash fans, as it featured a representative of the city of Cheboksary, Vasily Gerasimov. But the opponent turned out to be stronger. He was the winner of the 1st World Games of National Martial Arts, a representative of Tajikistan, Sukhrob Makhmadzoda.

Then the Russian athletes were ahead, winning against their opponents mainly in chess games: Igor Dziov from Beslan defeated the representative of Kazakhstan, Nariman Pshenov. Mikhail Nemtsev from Chelyabinsk won a fight against a participant from Turkey, Muhammad Mustafa. In the 82 kg weight category, St. Petersburg native Alexander Semenov lost to Rashad Abdullayev from Azerbaijan.

In the title fight, Chinar Dokugan, the 2023 world chessboxing champion, refused to continue the fight and the victory was given to his opponent Valery Lukyanov from Nalchik.
