Tim is the Godfather of Chessboxing and has been running London Chessboxing since 2008 when he took part in the first ever chessboxing bout in the UK. Tim's nickname "The Hippo" is born out of his bad temper, peg-like teeth and questionable personal hygiene, although hippos are actually very clean animals. Modern genetic science has discovered that hippos and whales share the same decendants. Hippos came back onto land slimming down from many tens of tonnes to one or two. Much like his mammalian counter part, Tim is know for his dieting and his ability to slim down in a matter of weeks.
